I had an idea for a character. He's called "The Apologetic Sleeper".
It consists of a man sitting somewhere silently, slowly, and I mean sloooooowly falling asleep. He does the "eye close", then the head nod with the eyes opening. He wipes his mouth and his eyes dart around the room lethargically. To the first person he makes eye contact with, he grins and mouths the word "sorry" silently.

Fleet Foxes
As a new band on the Sub-Pop label, Seattle's Fleet Foxes immediately caught my attention. I listened to their mp3 off of the Sub-Pop website, White Winter Hymnal, and was thoroughly impressed. Fleet Foxes do what many other indie outfits are hesitant to They allow their voices to support their songs as an independent instrument, not just a necessary part of a successful hook, or whatever. Their music hearkens back to the troubadours of Renaissance Italy and the Sacred Harp singers of Appalachia. Another positive factor is their new full-length's cover art, Netherlands Proverbs by Pieter Bruegel. You BETTER check 'em out.
